Dear Children,

The Cousins' Weekend at Woodspoint sounds like such a good idea!  We welcome all of you to the woods and to the special atmosphere that is here among the old trees and rocks and pathways.  It has been awhile since our Dow grandparents walked here, and enjoyed the autumn colors, the tart persimmons, and the cool waters of the spring in Froman Hol.  The word Hol is an old Scottish one straight from the Gaelic, and they brought it with them when they came.

When you are sitting by the fire, think of them when they built their first fires in their first homes on this place.  It gives us a feeling of oneness with the ages.

Have a good time.  Be careful.  How we do love you all!
